For the past 20 years, the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation has worked tirelessly to find and fund innovative Alzheimer's research, and that work is paying off. With more novel targets being studied and more drugs in clinical trials than ever before, we are getting closer to having effective treatments for Alzheimer's and related dementias.
Our portfolio currently consists of 33 active clinical trials in which we've invested over $36,000,000. Even more exciting, more than half of those are Phase 2 trials that will be reporting out results within the next three to five years. If the results are positive, those Phase 2 trials will go on to Phase 3, the final stage before FDA approval can be granted.
