The challenge presented by Alzheimer's disease to our aging population is further complicated by a lack of a true clinical diagnosis prior to autopsy. Using the unique resources of the Australian Imaging, Biomarkers & Lifestyle Flagship Study of Aging, this proposal will translate three novel biomarkers relevant to Alzheimer's disease into a viable blood-based diagnostic test, moving us one step closer to an early diagnostic test for the leading cause of dementia.
