We will use modern gene delivery technology to insert a gene known to protect against the development of Alzheimer's disease into the CNS (brain) of both mice and monkeys in anticipation of a human clinical trial to treat or prevent Alzheimer's disease. We will conduct all the necessary preclinical safety and efficacy studies to support filing an Investigational New Drug Application with the FDA to initiate phase I testing in man.
