Andrew Koemeter-Cox, the ADDF's Scientific Program Officer, joins the panel "Accelerating Treatments to Patients – Crossing the Valley of Death," at the 2017 Health Research Alliance meeting. The panel, which is moderated by Diane Bovenkamp, PhD, BrightFocus Foundation, describes the path of new drugs, from an idea to a drug that can be tested in patients. Panelists will discuss toxicology testing, drug manufacturing, and formulation as well as funding, commercialization, and regulatory issues. The panel's focus in on the role of foundations in moving treatments forward to human clinical trials.
