Rachel Lane, PhD

Rachel Lane, PhD is the Assistant Director, Scientific Affairs.

At the ADDF, Dr. Lane manages the foundation’s funded drug discovery and development programs, and strategic initiatives to accelerate drug discovery for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. 

Prior to joining the ADDF, Dr. Lane earned her Ph.D in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Sheffield, UK before undertaking her postdoctoral research, in a team led by Dr. Sam Gandy, on the mechanistic links between Alzheimer’s disease and type 2 diabetes. Dr. Lane has experience in venture capital, providing scientific and strategic review of investment opportunities, is a reviewer and mentor for the Bio and Health Tech Entrepreneurship Lab NYC, and has published numerous first authored research papers, reviews and editorials in peer reviewed journals.
